Tracey Locke
I came to writing through my love of music, dance and choreography. In NYC, while a principal dancer with Battery Dance Company, I studied playwriting at Ensemble Studio Theatre under the direction of Curt Dempster and trained in Meisner Technique with Maggie Flanigan.
When my pirouetting days were over and I finally sat down, a tsunami of stories, plays and scripts danced through my mind.
Two of my plays A Holding Tank and Drop Out were produced in Portland’s 2019 Fertile Ground Festival.
My spec script Eat Smart, a comedy horror is wrapping up.
